There are no silly questions…

It is free because we have what is known in the business as a power purchase agreement with you. This means that whatever energy the system produces and is used is billed directly to you. But at a pre-agreed discount to current grid prices. It’s a win/win for all concerned.

You can buy the system at any point. We agree a pricing structure with you that reduces every year the system is used. If you wish you can purchase the system at any point in time. This matrix is included with our agreement, so you know precisely what the costs are.

Yes – this is a partnership between us and you. We would need the freeholder’s approval for the 25year term lease. We take a lease over the roof space only. This is very common but normally only for larger businesses or far larger system sizes. Should you have a mortgage? All the major banks have approved this and it is not uncommon.
-
Then either you buy the contract out (you will be fully aware of the costs for this) or we can have it signed over to the new business taking on the tenancy or freeholder of the property.
-
No - you do not have to provide a personal guarantee.

There is a partnership or Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and part of that is a lease on the air space of the roof for the desired period. This is lodged at the land registry.

Each system will be built using only what we call “Tier 1” products. Tier 1 means that the equipment installed is of the highest quality and suitable for long term investment purposes. Our systems and equipment used is often of a far higher quality than those systems typically sold in the commercial sector. Those that have the backing of International Companies with superb warranties. The beauty of our cooperative approach is that we are your partner in this. It’s in all our interests to make sure only the very best components are used with the very best warranties commercially available.

We will fully appraise your requirements and work out what the best options are. Battery storage may be of added benefit (its possible to use the battery storage for grid balancing thereby increasing revenue further) but we will only include it should it be prudent to do so. In addition, we can also add in EV car charging ports (subject to terms) as well should they be needed.

How much of your total energy needs are covered by the system will ultimately depend on the size of system we can install, the orientation of your roof or land and where in the UK you are based. It’s likely that you will still need “grid” energy though – but at vastly reduced amounts.
